Prix Épicures Packaging 2024: new ambitions

Our Editorial Director, Bruno Lecoq, has brought together a panel of leading figures from the world of packaging, each in their own field, to give this award a new dynamic in the delicatessen market. The jury will meet in Paris in April to deliberate, and there's still time for you to apply by filling in your application directly online registration here

5 trophies are up for grabs this year in the following categories:  

  • Gift boxes, assortments and special event products (Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Advent Calendars, etc.),
  • Savoury delicatessen,
  • Sweet delicatessen,
  • Liquid products 
  • Preparations for hot beverages (teas, infusions, coffees, powdered chocolates, bouillons...)

Editorial director of Le Monde de l'Épicerie fine Bruno Lecoq is responsible for coordinating all the Prix Épicures juries. To chair the Packaging jury, he called on his friend Pierre Gonalons, a talented designer whom he discovered when he was editor-in-chief of the contemporary art magazine Cimaise. He has also ensured that each member of the jury, of which he is a member, can bring complementary expertise to the table.

A new president: Pierre Gonalons

A designer and interior architect based in Paris, Pierre Gonalons quickly established his singular vision of design and space. He founded his design studio at the age of 23, designing for prestigious houses alongside his own collections. His creations, which can be seen in his galleries in Paris and New York, strike a balance between the simple and the spectacular, giving priority to the expression of exceptional materials and French know-how, which he considers a source of inspiration. A member of AD magazine's top 100 designers since 2019, Pierre Gonalons' work is the subject of major publications in numerous international magazines.

July Ntibila, packaging development at Pierre Hermé

Several years as a Project Buyer in industry and POP revealed July Ntibila 's taste for technique. Learning about design and embellishment models led her to Packaging. In charge of packaging development for Pierre Hermé Paris since 2018, she reconciles industrial methods, the rigors of Luxury and the creative aspect, in order to stick to today's challenges and tell the house's story.

Founder of a global strategy and design agency specializing in gastronomy since 1997, Sylvie Amar offers tailor-made solutions only, and leads teams of practicing experts who work on assignment. The agency designs packaging as a translation of its clients' brand DNA.

Sébastien Brodart, Managing Director of Brodart Packaging

Sébastien Brodart trained as a designer at a design school in Troyes, where he focused on 3-D object modeling. He then worked for over 9 years in a Paris-based audiovisual company. In September 2017, he joined the family-owned Group, establishing himself as a recognized reference in his field in the Marketing department. He will take over the Group's management in 2022 as Managing Director alongside his brother David Brodart, Deputy Managing Director.

Editorial director of Le Monde de l'Épicerie Fine, Bruno Lecoq began his career in 1985 as editor-in-chief (at the age of 23) of a gastronomy magazine. He has continued to work in this field to this day, creating his own magazine - Lecoq Gourmand - and multiplying his outside collaborations, mainly as a gastronomic columnist.
